Sound

Since we were making our film in the style of found footage, we decided we did not need to use any Non-Digetic sound in the actual film. For most of the film we relied on Non-Digetic and Ambient sound, however we did use digetic sound to go along with our film company and title, in order to make those sections stand out further.

Quesion 4. Who would be the audience for your media product?

Your horror film: Who precisely is your target audience? Draw up a profile of their gender, age, interests and hobbies, education, social background, looks, income etc and state how and why you have targeted them. [e.g. have a photo of a typical viewer and write a para or so about them...] This one is WHO?

Our target audience is one of either gender, which is why we included both characters, one being male, and the other being female. However, since usually men prefer horror films, we decided to target men slightly more, which we did by including Nathans character more, and having Monica not really be on screen nearly as much. Through the characters, we also showed which age we were targeting. Monica and Nathan were both 16 when we recorded this, and therefore we are targeting around that age, since our group is around that age. However, the age isn't completely clear, therefore we targeted from around 16 to 18, or around sixth form/ college age, as they have the freedom to record during their free-time therefore not being of university age. Through the Camera, it is shown that they're photographers, or have an interest in recording short films, this shows them to be artistic hobbies, showing we are targeting artistic teens, of both genders.While they aren't seen in uniform, it is shown they have a certain degree of education through the words they use, being from the area of Hertfordshire that we live, showing our target audience to be that of middle class, which also sums up the social background they live in, which the woods shows as well, seeing as this shows a more middle class period than other ones. Their looks show that our audience won't be the mass, it'll be people who don't mind about looks, and therefore the artistic people much more than just normal teens. The income of our audience would be enough to afford nice things such as Camera's, but not as much to be exactly rich at the same time. So to sum up, our film is targeted at a unisex audience who are artistic, and but slightly more Men, and around in their late teens.

All out of 6 understood the storyline, found it clear, but confused over how they got into the positon they were portrayed to be in, however, all 6 liked the storyline over

If the film was developed into an actual product would they continue to watch
 All confirmed they would, seeing as they all enjoyed the style it was in

Did they think we grasped the genre well
 Yes, they all thought we did, they all believed it was made in a good style

What we could improve on
Darken the footage in the wood scenes, and we also got mentioned that we should add music by some members of the audience as well
